Family-friendly, community drop-in session marking Hip Hop History Month, curated by the Leeds Hip Hop Historian Society.
Leeds City Museum is hosting a Hip Hop History Month event on Sunday 22 November, from 11:00 to 16:00. It's part of the museum's wider celebration of Hip Hop History Month, and the day is curated by the Leeds Hip Hop Historian Society, the same partnership that delivers the 'Magic of Moss' event. The Society's involvement brings a local angle to the whole thing, as they're the ones shaping what goes on during the session.
It's billed as a family-friendly, community drop-in session, so there's no set timetable to work around. You can turn up whenever suits you between 11:00 and 16:00, stay for half an hour or hang out for the whole afternoon, and bring the kids along. The low-cost side of things is a big part of it, too: it's a 'Give What You Can' event, so you contribute what you're able to rather than paying a fixed ticket price. That makes it an easy one to drop into without needing to plan a big day out around it.
