A family-friendly trail to discover objects and animals that glow in the dark, celebrating Light Night as part of the museum's October Half-Term activities.
Leeds City Museum is running the Glow in the Dark Trail from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, part of their October Half-Term: Glow In The Dark Week. You pick up your trail at the museum entrance and head off to find objects and animals that have special ways of shining and glowing in the dark.
The trail is framed around Light Night, the city's celebration of light, and it's just one part of a wider half-term programme. The museum is filling the week with glow-in-the-dark activities and some of its most-loved school holiday favourites, though some of those need pre-booking, so it's worth checking the full line-up if you're planning a few days of it. The wider week also includes a Glow in the Dark Family Day and a Glow Disco with Boomchikkaboom.
Beyond the museum, Leeds Museums and Galleries are running a broader programme of after-dark Halloween activities across the city. That includes after-hours Halloween Cellar Tours for over-12s at Temple Newsam and a Spellbound closing week at Lotherton, so there's a fair bit to pick from if you're looking for things to do with kids over the half-term break.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The trail runs from 11:00, and the museum is closed on Mondays, so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit during the week. Entry is Give What You Can.
