The fifth and final Metro Bank One Day International of the five-match series between England and New Zealand at Headingley.
England take on New Zealand at Headingley Stadium on Saturday 25 September 2027, the fifth and final Metro Bank One Day International of a five-match series. It's a 50-over game, with play scheduled to begin at 10:30am.
This is the end of New Zealand's eight-match white-ball tour of England, which also takes in three IT20s. Before the series reaches Leeds, it stops at Edgbaston, Lord's, Bristol and Trent Bridge. The whole thing sits ahead of the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, so this is one of the final chances to see the two sides face off before the tournament.
There's a bit of history to this fixture. England and New Zealand met in the 2019 World Cup Final at Lord's, where England won their first title on the boundary-countback rule after a tied match and a Super Over. Headingley itself has been home to Yorkshire County Cricket Club since 1890 and has staged international Test cricket since 1899, including England's victory over Australia in the 2019 Ashes.
