Live show by the multi-award-winning electronic folk band Elephant Sessions at the Brudenell Social Club.
Elephant Sessions play Brudenell Social Club on Saturday 21 November, bringing their electronic folk from the Highlands of Scotland to Leeds. They've been at it for more than a decade, starting from grassroots beginnings and working their way up to become one of the most prominent acts in contemporary folk. Over those years, they've played major festivals and venues across the UK, Europe, Australia and North America, with Glastonbury, WOMAD, Celtic Connections, Colours of Ostrava, SXSW and Byron Bay Bluesfest among them.
Their sound is a progressive blend of intricate tunes built on a bass and drum-heavy backline that mixes folk, funk and electronica. It's a bit of a crossover, and the accolades they've picked up along the way reflect that: MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards for Up and Coming Act of the Year in 2014, Album of the Year in 2017 and Live Act of the Year in 2018. Four studio albums and their energetic live shows have earned them a loyal international following and critical acclaim.
