BYOB workshop to paint bespoke festive watercolour mini postcards at Bowery in Leeds.
Drink & Draw is back at Bowery in Leeds on Thursday 3 December, this time with a festive watercolour postcard theme. It's a BYOB setup, so you bring your own drinks and spend the evening painting your own set of bespoke Christmas cards.
The focus is on watercolour mini postcards, and the whole thing is run as a workshop, meaning you'll be guided through the process rather than just left to your own devices. It's a good way to get a few handmade cards sorted for the people you actually want to write to, and you'll leave with a handful of them finished. If you've never picked up a brush, that's fine — the workshop format is designed to take you through it, so you don't need to arrive with any experience.
Because it's BYOB, you can bring along whatever you fancy to sip on while you work, which is half the appeal of these nights. It's as much about the social side as the painting, and having your own drinks on the table makes it easy to settle in for the session. The festive theme gives you a starting point, but since you're painting your own bespoke cards, you can put your own spin on things rather than just following a template.
