Live gig by Birmingham songwriter Dom Glynn and his electric country and honky-tonk band at The Snug in Hyde Park Book Club.
Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best play Hyde Park Book Club on Friday 6 November, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. The night is billed as Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best, with Glynn himself as the main feature.
Glynn is a Birmingham-born songwriter who works in the tradition of classic American country and honky-tonk, citing Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr. as the legends he follows. He's a seasoned performer and songwriter, and for this show he fronts a full electric band built around Telecaster guitar, bass and drums. It's a setup that leans into the danceable side of country, and they're known for high-energy live shows that get people moving rather than just listening from their seats.
This isn't a new project. The act has played festivals across the UK and Europe and released a live album in 2025, so they've got a fair bit of road behind them. The set will be the full electric band — Telecaster, bass and drums — rather than a solo turn, and the focus is on the live performance.
