Pottery painting evening to mark Diwali, in which guests paint their own Diya bowl candle holder at The Little Biscuit in Morley, near Leeds.
The Little Biscuit Pottery Painting Studio is hosting a Diwali and Chai evening on Wednesday 21 October, from 6pm to 8pm. It marks Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, and the main thing you'll be doing is painting your own Diya Bowl. A diya is a traditional oil lamp, so yours will work as a candle holder, a gift, or a keepsake to take home.
For those who haven't come across them, The Little Biscuit is a paint-your-own pottery studio and creative space on High Street in Morley, a short walk from the town centre. They've got a large free car park opposite, which makes getting there a bit easier if you're driving in from across Leeds. The studio holds 36 seats on the ground floor, and they run pottery painting sessions for all ages, craft workshops, and weekly adult-only BYOB evenings. They also take their classes out to external venues like residential care homes, playgroups, nurseries, and schools, so they're used to working with people at all different levels.

Spaces for this one are limited to 36 guests, so it's a smaller, more contained session rather than a big open workshop. It's £15 per person, and the whole thing runs from 6pm to 8pm on the Wednesday. If you're planning to go, it's worth booking early since there are only 36 spots.
