A creative drop-in workshop where participants can make zines, drawings and plant-inspired work with the Dead Plants Society.
Dead Plants Society are hosting a creative workshop at Leeds City Museum on Wednesday 21 October, from 10:00 to 12:00. It's a drop-in session, so you can turn up whenever suits you within those two hours rather than committing to the full morning.
The morning is all about plant-inspired making. They'll have zines, drawing, and other creative work on the go, and the whole thing is open to anyone who wants to get stuck in. It's a drop-in, so there's no need to be an artist or have anything prepared — you just show up and start making. If you've never made a zine before, this is a good place to try it out.
The session is tied to It Takes a Community, an exhibition currently running at the museum, which the Dead Plants Society have been involved in. The workshop is a way of bringing that connection to life, with the making taking centre stage for the morning.
