A play by the Fractured Voices Theatre Group, written by Judge Stephen Wildblood KC, about a marriage that falls apart and the family courts.
Fractured Voices Theatre Group are performing Daisy Through The Looking Glass at Left Bank Leeds on Monday 25 January 2027, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. It's a play written by His Honour Judge Stephen Wildblood KC, and the whole thing is presented by Vollans Mediation to mark Family Mediation Week.
The story is drawn from true but hidden accounts from the Family Court, and it's told in reverse chronology. It centres on Dave, Maggie, and their daughter Daisy, whose marriage falls apart and pulls them through the family courts. By working backwards, the play lets you see the fallout before you see the cause, and it keeps the focus on the people involved rather than just the legal process. It was written to raise awareness of how family disputes are handled and the lasting impact they leave on children and parents.
There's a bit of a twist to the evening: the judge who wrote the play also performs in it, and he'll be in the audience too. So you've got the man who spent years on the bench bringing these court-room stories to the stage and then sitting among the crowd to watch them play out. The production is put on by Fractured Voices Theatre Group, with Judge Wildblood as part of the cast.
