Workshop run by Kate to make a Christmas wreath from willow, fir, holly and ivy, with materials and refreshments included.
Kate is running a Christmas wreath making workshop at Adel Wreath making, 5 Sadler Copse, Adel, Leeds LS16 8NW, with several dates to choose from across late November and early December. It's a full-on session where you make a wreath from scratch to hang on your front door, rather than just tidying up a pre-made base.
You start by shaping your own willow ring, and from there you dress it with four types of fir, plus yew, holly, ivy and other winter foliage. The finishing touches are the ribbons, fir cones, orange slices and cinnamon sticks that pull it all together. All the materials and equipment are included, so you don't need to bring anything but yourself.
The session runs for about two and a half to three hours, and mince pies with tea or coffee are served. If you're booking an afternoon or evening slot, you're welcome to bring your own bottle. There's free parking on site, which is a handy detail if you're driving out to Adel.
