Workshop led by Kate of Kate Adel Wreath Making to make a Christmas wreath from willow, fir, yew, holly and ivy, with materials and refreshments provided.
Kate Adel Wreath Making is running a Christmas wreath workshop at Adel Wreath making on Saturday 5 December, from 10 am to 1 pm. It's one of seven dates she's offering across the season, so if that particular morning doesn't suit, there are others to choose from.
The session is led by Kate herself, and she takes you through the whole process from scratch. You start by shaping a willow ring, then dress it with four types of fir, plus yew, holly and ivy. Once the greenery is in place, you finish it off with ribbons, fir cones, orange slices and cinnamon sticks. All the materials and equipment are provided, so you don't need to bring anything with you. The whole thing takes about two and a half to three hours, and you leave with a finished wreath for your own door.
It's a hands-on morning, and there are mince pies and tea or coffee served to keep you going. If you're booking an afternoon or evening slot instead, you're welcome to bring your own bottle. The workshops have earned five-star reviews, and since Kate runs several dates throughout the season, you can pick the one that fits your schedule best.
