Christmas by Candlelight comes to Leeds Minster on Saturday 5 December, as part of the Concerts by Candlelight series. The series specialises in intimate performances in venues lit with a warm glow, and this one puts a cast of West End singers and a live band in the Minster, with the candlelight as the backdrop. The organisers, Kinda Dusty Ltd, bill it as 'the ultimate Christmas concert'.
The set is built around Christmas favourites, with sing-along classics like 'White Christmas', 'Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!', 'Santa Baby', 'O Holy Night' and 'Winter Wonderland' on the list. It's the kind of programme that leans on the songs most people already know, and the West End singers bring the professional polish to them. There's a fully licensed bar available, so you can have a drink before the music starts.
There are two sittings on the night, which is handy if you're working or have other plans. The first has doors at 5:30pm and runs from 6:15 to 7:30pm; the second opens at 8:00pm and runs from 8:30 to 9:45pm. You'll need to pick one of the two. The venue is Leeds Minster, 2-6 Kirkgate, LS2 7DJ.

Tickets come in a few different tiers, all with a £4.50 booking fee on top. VIP is £45, Premium and Access are £40, and Band A is £35. There's also Restricted View at £25 and No View at £15, so you can choose your spot based on what you're happy to pay.
