Thai cooking masterclass run by Chaophraya chefs, with a welcome drink, a demonstration and a hands-on session to cook a starter and a main course.
Chaophraya is running a Thai cooking masterclass for two at their Leeds restaurant, with sessions held on Sundays throughout the year. It's a couple's thing, so you'll be working with a partner rather than on your own.
The whole thing takes about two and a half hours, and it kicks off with a welcome drink for you both. From there, the chefs at Chaophraya—industry professionals who know their way around a Thai kitchen—take over. They start with a demonstration to show you the ropes, and then it's your turn to get stuck in. You'll each cook a starter and a main course, so you're not just watching someone else do the hard work. Once the cooking is done, you sit down at a private dining table to eat what you've made. All the equipment and aprons are provided, so you don't need to bring anything but yourself.
People who've done it have mentioned spring rolls and red Thai curry, and you get to take your leftovers home, which is a nice bonus. It's worth knowing that this is sold as a gift voucher rather than a dated booking: the recipient gets to pick their own date within twelve months of purchase, so it works as a present as much as a day out. The experience is available at five Chaophraya locations across the UK, but this one is based in Leeds.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
