A string quartet plays Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits in a candlelit concert at St George's Church in Leeds.
A string quartet is taking Fleetwood Mac to St George's Church on Saturday 14 November, part of the Candlelight concert series that puts live music in unexpected spots under candlelight. The church is a Church of England parish in the city centre, known for its architecture and artworks, and this time it's playing host to a tribute to one of the most famous bands in the world.
It's a tribute, so the original band isn't involved, but the setlist covers the songs most people know. The quartet will run through Everywhere, Gypsy, You Make Loving Fun, Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop, Gold Dust Woman, Go Your Own Way, Landslide, Little Lies, Songbird, Rhiannon and The Chain. That's twelve songs in an hour, so there's not much dead air between them.
On the practical side, the show starts at 18:00 and runs for 60 minutes. Doors open 45 minutes before, and they don't let anyone in once it's started, so you'll want to be in your seat before the first note. Tickets start from £26.25, and you can add an instant photo for £5.00 and a three-pack of electric candles for £15.00. They're sold through the Fever app and feverup.com, not at the church itself.
