Neon glow disco with Boomchikkaboom at Leeds City Museum during Glow in the Dark Week.
Boomchikkaboom are taking over Leeds City Museum on Tuesday 27 October for a Glow Disco, a neon family disco in the city centre. It's part of Glow in the Dark Week, which runs from 24 to 31 October, so this is one of several events happening across the city that week.
If you've come across Boomchikkaboom before, you'll know the format: they do family-friendly music sessions, and this one is built around the glow-in-the-dark theme. The museum's usually a place for looking at things on shelves, but on the 27th it becomes a dance floor for kids and parents to shake a leg together. It's a neon disco, so the whole room will be lit up in glow-in-the-dark colours, and the music is aimed at families rather than a late-night club crowd.
Because it's part of Glow in the Dark Week, it's not the only thing on. The week runs from Saturday 24 to Saturday 31 October, so there are other events to work around it if you're planning a few days of half-term activities. This particular session falls on the Tuesday, right in the middle of the week, and it's held at the museum in the city centre, which makes it easy to get to if you're already in town.

On the practical side, admission is 'Give What You Can', so you pay what you're able to rather than a fixed ticket price. That makes it a good shout if you're juggling a few different things over the half-term break. The Glow Disco is on Tuesday 27 October at Leeds City Museum, as part of Glow in the Dark Week.
