Singer-songwriter Benjamin Steer plays live with guests at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds.
Benjamin Steer plays Brudenell Social Club on Friday 23 October, with guests on the bill. He's a 23-year-old British-American-Belgian singer-songwriter who first picked up an acoustic guitar while studying economics at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. He built his following on hook-filled songs about millennial life, love and anxiety, and was offered a record deal within a year of first playing guitar. He's currently working towards his debut album, so this is a good time to catch him before that's out.
Steer has spoken openly about the things that shape his writing. He's cited an OCD diagnosis as both a hindrance and a driver, and has written about the pressures facing Generation Z. He cut his teeth supporting Myles Smith, Cameron Whitcomb, Arthur Hill and Kingfishr, and has played London's Village Underground. The Brudenell date is part of his current tour, with the bill listed as Benjamin Steer + Guests.
