Halloween pop-up with a horror-hospital theme, featuring specialty cocktails and spooky bites at Tom's Town Distilling Co.
The Cloven Hoof is taking over Tom's Town Distilling Co. in downtown Kansas City this Halloween season. It's a pop-up bar built around a horror-hospital motif, and the whole thing is inspired by Pendergast Memorial Hospital. If you've spent any time in the Crossroads, you know Tom's Town, but this isn't the usual distillery visit—they've dressed the room with spooky decorations and themed cocktail glasses to lean into the hospital theme.
Inside, the menu pairs specialty cocktails made with Tom's Town spirits with spooky bites, so it's a full evening rather than just a quick drink. The drinks are the main draw, and they're served in glassware that fits the hospital vibe. Between the decor and the themed menu, the whole space is leaning hard into the Halloween spirit.
It's not a one-night thing, either. The pop-up runs Wednesdays through Saturdays, from September 17 through October 31, 2026, so you've got plenty of weekends to work it into your plans. If you're looking for something to do on a weeknight, the Wednesday through Thursday slots work just as well as the Friday and Saturday ones. It's located in the Crossroads, right in the heart of downtown Kansas City.
