Live music from Rock Bottom String Band, mixing bluegrass, folk and americana with punk and metal influences, at Warehouse On Broadway.
Rock Bottom String Band plays Warehouse on Broadway on Friday, October 30, 2026. They're a touring act that started in San Marcos, Texas, back in 2013, born out of backyard jams between five strangers. From those early sessions, they grew into a nationally touring band run on D.I.Y. values, and this is their stop in Kansas City.
Their sound mixes bluegrass, folk and americana with punk, metal and traditional rootsβa combination they call "boozegrass." It's a wide net, and they play everywhere from family parties and dive bars to festivals, so the set usually works for a few different crowds at once. On the stage that night, you'll see Brian 'Papa' Briseno on banjo and vocals, Mackenzie Dart on fiddle and vocals, Sasha Sonnier on guitar/bass and vocals, and Tara Miller on trash banger and vocals. Everyone sings, and the trash banger is a part of the sound you won't find in a standard bluegrass lineup.
