Pups on the Patio Howl-O-Ween Costume Party

Pups on the Patio is back with its Howl-O-Ween Costume Party on Tuesday, October 27, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Guy Fieri's Dive and Taco Joint. It's a dog-friendly Halloween get-together where the main event is a costume contest: you enter your dog, and they compete in whatever outfit you've put them in, whether you're going for scary or cute.

The party is hosted at Guy Fieri's Dive and Taco Joint, 1333 Walnut St., which brings Fieri's signature concept to Kansas City as a dive bar with "Guy Fieri flare and flavors." The whole idea is to banter with the bartenders, crush tacos and crack open an ice-cold beer—and this time, your dog is welcome to hang out while you do it. It's a low-key way to get your pup into the spooky season before the real Halloween madness kicks in.

If you're planning to stay in the neighborhood for the rest of the month, the venue also hosts End of Days, billed as Kansas City's biggest Halloween party. That one returns on October 31 with a $10k costume contest, DJ Travesty, and all-inclusive drink packages. So you can do the dog costume party on the 27th and then head back for the human one a few days later.

Entry for Pups on the Patio is $3. The party runs from 4 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 27, at Guy Fieri's Dive and Taco Joint, 1333 Walnut St., Kansas City, MO 64106.
