Pottery Pub: A Sip & Glaze experience

Pottery Pub is bringing its Sip & Glaze session to Cinder Block Brewery on Thursday, October 15, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a simple enough premise: you pick out a piece of pottery, paint and glaze it, and do it all while sipping craft beer in a social setting. If you've never touched a paintbrush in your life, that's fine—instructors are on hand to walk you through it.

The whole thing takes place in the brewery's Reclamation Room, and the night follows a set order: check-in first, then you pick your glazes, and from there it's straight into the sip and glaze. You'll be working on a functional ceramic piece—either a mug or a bowl—so it's something you'll actually use once it's finished. If you're feeling hungry, you can order Bay Boy Sandwiches from The Commons, the brewery's new hangout area.

Your ticket covers the pottery piece you choose, all the glazing materials you'll need, and your first beer or non-alcoholic drink. The session runs from 6 PM to 9 PM at Cinder Block Brewery, 110 East 18th Avenue, North Kansas City, MO 64116, in the Reclamation Room.
