Free screening of the horror thriller 'Get Out' at the Kansas City Public Library's Central Library, part of the Central Cinema series.
Get Out screens at the Central Library on Wednesday, October 14, as part of the Central Cinema / Halloween Happenings series. It's a free screening, and the movie is Jordan Peele's 2017 social thriller, so if you've never seen it, it's a good time to catch it on a big screen.
The screening takes place in the Durwood Film Vault, which is an original bank vault converted into a 28-seat movie theater. It's a small, enclosed space, so you're watching with a handful of other people rather than a full house. The movie starts at 2 PM, and seating opens at 1:45 PM. It's first come, first served, and there are no reservations, so if you want a guaranteed seat, you'll want to be there a few minutes early.

This is one of several free screenings the library is running as part of the Halloween Happenings series, and the vault is the home for all of them. The series is intended for audiences aged 18 and older, so keep that in mind if you're planning to bring anyone along. Admission is free.
