Movie: 'An American Werewolf in London'

An American Werewolf in London screens at the Central Library on Saturday, October 18, at 2 PM. It's a free screening, part of the library's Halloween Happenings, and it runs as part of the Central Cinema series, which brings free movies to the Central Library's movie theater.

The theater itself is the Durwood Film Vault, and it's one of those details that makes the experience. It's an original bank vault converted into a 28-seat movie theater, so you're watching a horror-comedy about a man turning into a werewolf inside a room that used to hold money. It's a small space, and the screening is free, which fits the library's wider Halloween programming.

Since it's a 28-seat room, seating is first come, first served. There are no reservations, so if you want a spot, you'll want to get there a bit early. The movie starts at 2 PM, and the whole thing is free.
