A social meetup for teens to play RPG, tabletop and Switch games as part of the International Games Month programming.
Monday Mid-day Meetup is back at the Central Library on Monday, October 19, from 2 PM to 3 PM. It's a drop-in session for teens to hang out and socialize over a mix of RPGs, tabletop games, and Nintendo Switch games. If you're into gaming and looking for a place to connect with other people your age during the day, this is exactly that.
The meetup is part of the Kansas City Public Library's International Games Month programming, a series that gives teens a chance to get together around gaming. The session runs in person at the Central Library, so you'll be playing with people in the room rather than online. The wider games program also includes Game Day in the Stacks on Saturdays, so if you can't make a Monday afternoon, there's another option on the weekend.
As for what you'll find there, the library keeps a variety of RPGs, tabletop games, and Switch games on hand. Whether you're into tabletop strategy, role-playing, or console gaming, there's something to pick up. It's as much about the gaming as it is about the socializing, so it works whether you're coming with a group or showing up on your own to meet new people.
