A low-impact dance fitness program combining explosive dance movements with body-weight toning, suitable for all fitness levels.
NickiFit brings MixxedFit to the Waldo Branch of the Kansas City Public Library on Monday, October 19, from 6 to 7 PM. It's a dance fitness class that pairs explosive dance movements with body-weight toning, led by a certified MixxedFit instructor. The music pulls from all over—Top 40, hip-hop, reggae, and rock—and the moves are repetitive and easy to follow, so it works for people who want to dance and for those who just like moving to music. Low-impact options are available throughout, and the class is aimed at adults 18 and over.
The session is part of a partnership between the library and local businesses to bring exercise programming into its branches. The Kansas City Public Library has been around since 1873 and now operates ten branches and a Bookmobile across the city. NickiFit, the certified personal training and group instruction business led by Nicki Jones, also places HIIT classes and yoga at other library branches.
