A Halloween-themed storytime session with stories and crafts for young children, encouraging them to wear costumes.
Halloween Storytime is coming to the Waldo Branch of the Kansas City Public Library on Monday, October 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. It's an in-person session for young children, and it's part of the library's broader Halloween Happenings series. The format is straightforward: stories paired with crafts, and kids are encouraged to come in costume.
If you're planning to bring your little ones, it's worth knowing that the Waldo Branch has another program running that same day. They host a 'Read to a Dog' session as part of the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) literacy program, which pairs children with therapy animals to help them work on their reading and communication skills. So if you're already heading over for storytime, you might want to check if you can fit both in.

On the practical side, the library provides ADA accommodations upon request, provided you give them at least three business days' notice. They also let you know that they may videotape or photograph events for marketing purposes, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a camera of your own. The session runs from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Monday, October 26, at the Waldo Branch.
