Worlds of Fun transforms into the Midwest's largest Halloween celebration with haunted mazes, scare zones, live entertainment and rides in the dark.
Halloween Haunt is back at Worlds of Fun this season, running select Fridays and Saturdays from September 19 through October 31, plus Sunday, October 25. It's the park's big autumn takeover: when dark falls, hundreds of creatures emerge to turn the grounds into a nighttime haunt. If you're going on a Friday, the park opens at 6 PM; Saturdays open at noon, with the haunt kicking in after dark. Most nights close at 11 PM, though it stays open until 11:59 PM on October 23 and 24.
There are six haunted houses to work your way through: BloodShed, Ripper Alley, Pumpkin Eater, Lore of the Vampire, Blood on the Bayou, and Zombie High. Four scare zones are scattered across the park, with Mr. Tickle's Sideshow Alley, Invasion, and Necropolis new for 2026, and Outlaw's Revenge returning. Five live shows round things out, including the new Spellbound featuring the Haunt Hellions and an updated Mr. Tickle's Last Laff. Over in Country Junction, Mr. Tickle and Madame Lionne return to the big top with a clown posse, and there are more than 15 new items on the seasonal food and drink menu.
If you're bringing kids, the park runs Tricks and Treats on weekends—trick-or-treating around the grounds and Count Snooptacula's Costume Contest for children. And on Sundays from September 20 to October 18, they add Oktoberfest with German food, drink, and live music. A few house rules to keep in mind: no costumes, masks, or full-face makeup are allowed, and guests 17 and under need a chaperone aged 21 or over.
