Great Boss! Workshop

Deb Niewald is leading the Great Boss! Workshop at the Indian Hills Country Club on Friday, October 16, 2026. It's a full day, 9 AM to 4 PM, and it falls on Boss's Day, which is a fitting enough coincidence for the subject matter. Niewald is an Expert EOS Implementer®, and she's running the session with contributions from David Blackwell, Sonya Jury, and Dana Abraham.

The day is built around the idea that "Great Bosses Create Great Teams," and it's aimed squarely at leaders who were promoted for their technical skills but were never taught how to lead and manage people. If you've spent your career getting good at the actual work and then suddenly found yourself in charge of the people doing that work, this is for you. The workshop brings bosses together to build more accountable, high-performing teams using hands-on EOS® tools and disciplines. Among them are The 5 Leadership Practices™, The 5 Management Practices™, Quarterly Conversations, and tools for delegating, elevating, and building trust. It's not just a lecture; the format is high-energy and interactive, with breakouts led by leaders who are already running their own businesses on EOS and a working lunch included, so you leave with practical tools you can use the very next day. If you're already familiar with the EOS Process® and EOS Toolbox™, you'll likely get the most out of the session.

It's a one-day commitment in Mission Hills, so you can be back at your desk on Monday with a few new ways to handle your team. The workshop runs from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Indian Hills Country Club, 6847 Tomahawk Road, Mission Hills, KS 66208.
