Lunchtime music series featuring local bands and a food truck at Garment District Place, part of the Art in the Loop festival.
Billy Ebeling plays Garment District Place on Wednesday, October 21, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It's the final date of the 2026 Garment District Grooves series, the lunchtime music run that takes over the Garment District Place park every third Wednesday from May through October.
If you've never caught one, the format is pretty straightforward: bring your own lunch or buy one from the food truck on site and spend your midday break listening to a local band. For this one, the food truck is Sugar Skull Grill. The park is at 8th and Bank St., 800 Broadway Blvd, right in the heart of the Garment District, and the whole series is run by Kansas City Parks and Recreation.
Garment District Grooves is part of Art in the Loop, the summertime festival run in partnership with the Downtown Council of Kansas City and the KC Streetcar, which stages performances along the streetcar line. The park at 8th and Washington is the usual home for the concerts, so this one is right in the mix of things downtown. Since it's the last one of the season, it's the final chance to catch the series before it wraps up for the year.
