A character-building session for children ages 8-12 to prepare for a new Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Dungeons & Dragons: Session 0 is at the Central Library on Saturday, October 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. It's a character-building session for kids ages 8 to 12, and it's the first step before a new campaign kicks off. If your kid has never played, this is exactly where they start: they'll spend the hour figuring out who their character is—their race, their class, their backstory—so they're ready to jump into the game when the actual story begins.
It's held at the Central Library, the main resource library in the system, located at 14 West 10th Street. The building itself has a bit of a story: it moved into its current spot in 2004 after remodeling the old First National Bank, and the restored 1906 bank lobby is still one of the most impressive spaces in the whole place. If you're already in the neighborhood, there's more for the kids that morning—Storytime also runs every Saturday morning.

One thing to keep in mind: space is limited, and you need to RSVP to take part. It's a one-hour session, 10:30 to 11:30 AM, for ages 8 to 12.
