NCAA Division II women's field hockey national championship match held as part of the 2026 NCAA Fall Festival.
The NCAA Division II Women's Field Hockey Championship is coming to Pembroke Hill School this December, with the semifinals on Thursday, Dec. 3, and the national championship match on Saturday, Dec. 5. It's one of six NCAA championships Kansas City is hosting as part of the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships Festival, which will bring more than 900 student-athletes to the city.
Division II is the only NCAA division that does things this way: they stage National Championships Festivals, Olympic-style events where several national championships are held at a single site over a few days. This fall festival also includes women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and cross country, so there's more than just field hockey happening across the city during the window. The field hockey final is hosted by the Kansas City Sports Commission, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, and Visit KC.
It's played at Pembroke Hill School, where field hockey has been played for more than a century. That's a long time for one sport to hold down a spot in the city, and it's where the championship matches will go down.

If you're planning to go, the schedule is split across two days. The semifinals are both on Thursday, Dec. 3: Semifinal #1 kicks off at 11 AM, and Semifinal #2 follows at 2 PM. Then the championship match takes place on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 12 PM. That gives you a couple of days to see the bracket narrow down to the final two teams before the title game on Saturday afternoon.
