A storytime session for caregivers and children aged 0-18 months, featuring books, songs, and toys to promote literacy skills.
Baby Storytime is back at the Kansas City Public Library's Plaza Branch on Tuesday, October 13, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. It's a session for caregivers and children aged 0 to 18 months, so it's geared toward the very little ones and the adults who come with them. The whole thing happens in person in the branch's Large Meeting Room.
The format is pretty straightforward: books, songs, and toys. The library describes it as a space where caregivers and children come together to learn new songs and literacy skills. It's less of a formal performance and more of a shared activity, with the reading and singing as the main things you'll be doing. If you're in that 0-to-18-month window, it's a good way to get out of the house and spend an hour with other parents and babies in the neighborhood.

Since it's at the Plaza Branch, it's right in the middle of the city, and the Large Meeting Room gives you plenty of space to settle in with a stroller and a little one. If you need ADA accommodations, the library asks for at least three business days' notice to get things sorted. The session runs for a full hour, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, on Tuesday morning, October 13.
