Stories, songs, and rhymes for families with children aged 0 to 18 months.
Baby Storytime is at the Central Library on Thursday, October 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. It's a session of stories, songs, and rhymes built for the library's youngest visitors, recommended for families with children aged 0 to 18 months. It runs in person at the Central Library, and it's held every Thursday, so if this one doesn't fit your schedule, there's another one next week.
The Central Library itself is worth a look if you've never spent much time there. It moved into its current building in 2004 after remodeling the former First National Bank, and the restored 1906 bank lobby is one of the library's most magnificent spacesβit's the first interior view visitors experience. The reading rooms are modeled after early 20th-century libraries, pairing traditional seating with custom-designed tables wired for modern computer use. Up on the third floor, the Grand Reading Room is surrounded by the Community Reference Services, the Reference Collection, and the Periodicals Collection, and it boasts a distinctive 34-foot ceiling with a skylight.
