A three-course fondue dinner for $30 at The Melting Pot, available every Sunday and Monday in October.
The Melting Pot is running a three-course fondue dinner for $30 per person every Sunday and Monday throughout October. It's a fixed-price deal that lets you build your own meal from their usual menu: you pick any cheese fondue, any fresh salad, and any chocolate fondue for dessert. If you're coming hungry, you can turn it into a four-course meal by adding an entrée for $25 more. The entrée options are shrimp, Memphis dry rub pork, teriyaki steak, herb-marinated chicken breast, or a fresh vegetable medley.
If you've never been, the whole point of fondue is that you cook your own food at the table. The restaurant provides the raw ingredients, and you dip them into the pots of melted cheese or chocolate. It's a slower way of eating than most places, so it works well for a long dinner with friends. The Melting Pot notes that because you're the one doing the cooking, some ingredients might end up undercooked if you don't leave them in long enough.
Beyond this October special, the restaurant also does a 'Thursdate' romantic four-course dinner for two every Thursday, set with candles and rose petals. So if you're looking for something for a date night, that's another option to keep in mind.
