A fundraising walk organised by the National Kidney Foundation to support research and treatments for kidney disease, with a two-mile course.
The 2026 Kansas City Kidney Walk is coming to KC Live! on Sunday, October 11. It's a fundraising walk organized by the National Kidney Foundation, and the money raised goes toward research, earlier diagnoses, and better treatments for people fighting kidney disease. It's more than just raising awarenessโthe funds go directly into the work of improving how kidney disease is treated.
On the day, walkers cover a two-mile course. If you're planning to raise money, there's a specific goal to keep in mind: anyone who raises $100 or more at least three weeks before the walk gets an exclusive Kidney Walk T-shirt sent by mail. It's a good way to see your progress before the event even starts.
The walk is built around teams, and they're a big part of how it works. You can put together your own group and designate a Team Captain to lead the effort. To help with that, there's a mobile app that handles mobile check deposits, activity tracking, and fundraising tools, so you can keep tabs on your team's total and manage the logistics from your phone.
Every week we pick ๐ the 5 best ๐ things to do in Kansas City and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It all happens at KC Live!, 13 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64106. Check-in opens at 8:00 AM, and the walk itself starts at 9:30 AM. Entry is free.
