Tribute show to Phil Collins fronted by Seth Eliser at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis, all ages.
The Phil Collins Story comes to the Old National Centre on Sunday, November 1, for a tribute show that puts the focus on the music. It's an all-ages night, so it's one of those you can bring the kids to if you're into the catalog. The show runs in the Egyptian Room, 502 N New Jersey St, with doors opening at 6 PM and the music starting at 7 PM.
Seth Eliser fronts the show. He's a multi-instrumentalist and performer from St. Amant, Louisiana, who earned a BFA in Music Theater from The Hartt School of Music. He's spent the last year performing off-Broadway in the original companies of Beau: The Musical and The Jonathan Larson Project, and his stage credits include The Lightning Thief, The Music Man, and Disney on Classic as a featured vocal soloist with the Orchestra of Japan. He's also appeared in Beautiful, The Twelfth Night Show, Godspell, Ghost, Buddy Holly Story, and ONCE, and has been featured on albums by Joe Iconis and Rob Rokiki. He also plays in the indie-pop group Manicanparty.
Rounding out the band is music director Sachio Nang, a Chicago-area pianist, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist who leads the jazz-funk fusion band Mid-Air. He's joined by drummer and percussionist Jimmy Kowalczyk, New Hampshire guitarist and bassist Miles Ahlstrom, and New York multi-instrumentalist and producer Peter Michaels, Jr. Between Eliser's theater background and Nang's work in jazz-funk, there's a good bit of professional range on stage for a tribute set.
