Third and final session of the Indianapolis Public Library's three-week series on internet safety and digital tools for adults.
The Internet Toolkit wraps up its three-week run at the Nora Branch on Tuesday, November 17, from 2 PM to 4 PM. This is the third and final session of a series put on by the Indianapolis Public Library and made possible by The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, and it's built to give adults a solid foundation for using the web in everyday life.
Across the three weeks, the series covers the basics of how the internet actually works: browsers, bookmark management, search strategies, security basics, browser customization, and your digital footprint. Each week runs as a separate session, so you don't have to have attended the first two to jump in on this one. If you've been wanting to get a better handle on the web without feeling like you're starting from zero, this is a good place to do it.
One thing to keep in mind before you sign up: you need to be experienced with a mouse and keyboard to take part. It's not a class for absolute beginners who've never touched a computer, but it is for anyone who knows their way around a keyboard and wants to move past the basics of browsing. If you can navigate a desktop and type, you're in the right ballpark.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Indianapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The session is at the Nora Branch, located at 8625 Guilford Avenue in Indianapolis. The branch opened in 1971 and was expanded to 18,500 square feet in 1990; the current suburban Washington Township building was made possible by a 2.56-acre lot donated by Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Eiteljorg in 1968. It runs from 2 PM to 4 PM on Tuesday, November 17.
