Theatre production by local author Brenton Williamson about the mystery of Lenore, at The Backlot Makerspace and Venue.
The Fate of Lenore opens at The Backlot Makerspace and Venue on Thursday, October 29, with two more performances to follow on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1. It's a play by local author Brenton Williamson, and it runs over those three dates in Indianapolis.
The story draws on the true account behind the mystery of Lenore, a woman struggling to hold on to the man she loves and to the little life that remains within her. It's the kind of thing that stays with you after the curtain drops, and the production doesn't shy away from its heavier groundβit touches on themes of death and tragedy, and the organizers note it's not recommended for very young children. If you're planning to bring the whole family, you might want to keep that in mind.

Since it's a local production, it's a good chance to see a writer from right here in the city bring his own work to the stage. The three-night run gives you a few options to fit it in, whether you're looking for a Thursday night out or something for the weekend. Tickets are $10, and you can find them at 4thwallplayers.org.
