Half-hour storytime with stories, songs and toys for babies and toddlers up to 36 months at the Warren Branch.
Storytime at Warren - Baby & Toddler is back at the Warren Branch on Wednesday, December 2, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. It's a half-hour session for babies and toddlers up to 36 months, and you'll need to be there with your little one—the program is designed for the kids to experience alongside an adult.
They fill that half hour with a mix of stories, songs, toys, and more. It's not just sitting and listening; the songs and toys keep things moving, which is usually the only way to hold a toddler's attention for thirty minutes straight. If you've got a baby or a toddler in that age range, it's a low-pressure way to get them around other kids and get some reading time in early.
The session is at the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library, located at 9701 East 21st Street in Indianapolis. The branch is a 16,000-square-foot library serving Warren Township, and it's been a fixture of the neighborhood since it opened in 1974. It sits right next to Lakeside Elementary School and just northeast of Warren Central High School, so it's easy to find if you're already in that part of the city. The building has a bit of history to it: a fire in 1979 closed it for seven months, and it went through a $1.1 million renovation that wrapped up in 2016—the first major overhaul since the doors first opened.
