51st anniversary of Rocky Horror Live! with Barry Bostwick, live shadow cast and audience participation, featuring a hosted screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Barry Bostwick is coming to the Old National Centre on Wednesday, October 21, to host a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show for its 51st anniversary. Bostwick played the original Brad Majors in the 1975 film, and he's returning to the stage as the evening's host, which is a good place to start if you're not already familiar with the movie.
The night is built around a screening of the film in a new 4K restoration, so you'll be seeing it in a sharper version than the one most of us grew up with. It's a hosted screening, meaning Bostwick is there in person to lead the evening rather than just appearing on screen. The bill also includes a memorabilia display, a V.I.P. Meet & Greet, and a costume contest, so there's more to the night than just sitting in the dark.
If you've never been to a Rocky Horror screening, the whole thing is a bit of a ritual. The movie is famous for its shadow cast—performers who act out the scenes live in front of the screen—and for audience participation, where the crowd shouts back at the characters and throws props. It's the kind of thing that's meant to be done with a crowd rather than alone on your couch.

Tickets run from $48 to $196, and one thing to keep in mind: there's no late admittance after 7 PM, so you'll want to be in your seat before then. The screening is at the Old National Centre at 502 N. New Jersey St in Indianapolis on Wednesday, October 21.
