Oso Oso with Leisure Hour

Oso Oso plays HI-FI on Sunday, October 18, with support from Leisure Hour. The show is presented by MOKB Presents and is open to all ages.

Oso Oso is the punk/emo project of Jade Lilitri, based out of Long Beach, New York. After a couple of early records, the band self-released its first fully realized album, The Yunahon Mixtape, on Bandcamp in early 2017. It picked up traction across the scene, winning over fans and critics with its diverse, memorable choruses and instantly relatable lyrics. Pitchfork described Lilitri as "as much of a student of his influences as he is a fan."

In 2018, the band signed with Triple Crown Records, which reissued the mixtape. That record remains a central part of the project's story, and you'll likely hear songs from it alongside newer material. Leisure Hour opens the night.

HI-FI is located inside the historic Murphy Arts Center at 1043 Virginia Ave #4 in Fountain Square, a venue known for booking artists on the rise. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the music starts at 7:30 PM.
