Second session of a three-part series on Microsoft Excel Online, covering formula basics and formatting, taught by the Indianapolis Public Library's Tech Learning Team.
The Indianapolis Public Library is hosting the second session of its Microsoft Excel Series on Wednesday, October 21, at the College Avenue Branch. It runs from 2 PM to 4 PM, and this particular afternoon is all about formula basics and formatting.
If you're not familiar with the series, it's a three-part introduction to Microsoft Excel Online—the free web version of the software—run by the library's Tech Learning Team. They've broken the basics down into three levels. The first session covers layout, navigation, and files; this second one focuses on formulas and formatting; and the third moves into working with data, including filtering and sorting. The sessions build on one another, so the library encourages people to join all three, but any single one can be taken on its own if that's all you need.
On the practical side, you'll want to be comfortable with a mouse and keyboard before you show up, and some prior knowledge of OneDrive might come in handy. The series is part of a wider digital literacy program made possible by The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, which is why these classes are available for free.

The session is at the College Avenue Branch, located at 4180 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205. The branch has served the neighborhood since 1924 and moved into its current 16,000-square-foot home in August 2000. That puts the second class of the series on Wednesday, October 21, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
