Michael Kosta: Big Dad Energy

Michael Kosta brings his stand-up show Big Dad Energy to Clowes Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 12, 2026. It's a solo set, so the whole night is his, and the title Big Dad Energy gives you a pretty good sense of where the material is coming from. If you've seen him before, you know he tends to lean into the observational side of things, and this tour keeps that in the foreground.

Kosta is the only name on the bill, and the show is built around his own stand-up rather than a mixed lineup. The set is titled Big Dad Energy, and that's the through-line for the evening—the kind of comedy that pulls from the everyday, the domestic, and the specific, slightly exhausted perspective that comes with fatherhood. It's not a variety show or a showcase; it's a full set of his own material, and he's the one on stage for the duration.

Clowes is a big room, and having a single comic hold it for the whole night changes the feel from a club set. It's a full evening of his work, and the Big Dad Energy title sets the tone for what he's bringing to the stage. If you're already familiar with his style, this is a chance to see a complete tour set in person rather than in clips.

The show starts at 8 PM on Saturday, December 12, at Clowes Memorial Hall in Indianapolis. Admission is free, so you can get your tickets through butlerartspresents.org.
