Meditation session open to all ages from 16 to 106 at the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Learn to Meditate: Everyone Can! is coming to the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Wednesday, December 9, from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM. It's a half-hour meditation class, and the title isn't just for show: it's open to all ages from 16 to 106. You don't need any prior experience to join, and there's no equipment to bring along, so you can just show up as you are.
The session takes place at the Glendale Branch, which is the country's first full-service library located in a major shopping mallβit opened in Glendale Mall back in 2000. The branch itself has a long history in the Broad Ripple community, dating back to 1930, with a stand-alone library opening in 1949 and a larger branch moving to Broad Ripple Park in 1986. More recently, in 2024, it opened a new 24,800-square-foot space at the site of the former John Strange Elementary School. You'll find it at 3660 East 62nd Street in Indianapolis.

Since it's a mid-day class, it fits right into a lunch break or a morning out. It runs for thirty minutes, from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM, so it's a short window to step away from the day and clear your head. Registration opens on November 25, 2026, so you'll want to mark that date if you're planning to go.
