Introduction to meditation session open to all ages at the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Learn to Meditate: Everyone Can! is coming to the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Wednesday, November 25, from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM. It's a half-hour introduction to meditation, and as the title suggests, it's open to everyone. You don't need any previous experience to join in, and there's no equipment to bringβjust show up as you are.
The session is open to all ages from 16 to 106, so it's something you can do on your own or bring along a friend or family member. Since it's a beginner's introduction, it's a good place to start if you've been curious about meditation but weren't sure where to begin.
The venue is the Glendale Branch, located at 3660 East 62nd Street in Indianapolis. It's the country's first full-service library inside a major shopping mall, built in 2000 in Glendale Mall. The branch has served the Broad Ripple community since 1930, with a stand-alone library opening in 1949 and a larger branch moving to Broad Ripple Park in 1986. In 2024, it opened a new 24,800-square-foot building on the site of the former John Strange Elementary School.
