Kalyn Fay, folk and Americana artist from Tulsa, plays HI-FI at the Murphy Arts Center, headlined by American Aquarium.
American Aquarium headline HI-FI on Saturday, October 31, with Kalyn Fay opening. The show is presented by MOKB Presents, and it's open to all ages.
American Aquarium is a North Carolina Americana and folk-country band fronted by BJ Barham, who's been writing and performing for nearly two decades. They're touring their tenth studio album, The Fear of Standing Still, which they recorded live at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Three-time Grammy winner Shooter Jennings produced the record, and Trina Shoemaker mixed it. The album features guest appearances from Georgia-born singer-songwriter Katie Pruitt on "Southern Roots," and it draws on Barham's ten years of sobriety and his connection to the band's fan community.
Opening the night is Kalyn Fay, an artist from Tulsa, Oklahoma, whose work spans folk, indie, Americana, contemporary folk, and Native American music. Between the two, you'll get a full evening of Americana and folk from the North Carolina band and the Oklahoma singer.
