Irene Tu

Irene Tu is bringing her stand-up comedy to Clowes Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 21. It's a single-billed night, so the whole show is her set from start to finish.

If you're not familiar with her, Tu is a stand-up comic who's been building a name for herself on the circuit. Her act is exactly what you'd expect from a comedy show: she takes the stage, works a room, and lets the jokes do the heavy lifting. There's no opening act or supporting lineup to work through here—it's just her and the microphone for the duration of the evening.

The show is part of the Butler Arts Center's programming, and the venue is Clowes Memorial Hall, one of the city's larger stages. It's a Saturday night, so it's an easy one to fit into a weekend without having to worry about a work morning the next day.

One of the best parts is the price: admission is free. Between that and the Saturday slot, it's a low-stakes way to spend an evening if you're in the mood for comedy. The show starts at 8 PM on November 21, and since it's a free event, you can just show up and settle in.
