Library workshop on how to print from a mobile phone, tablet or laptop at any IndyPL library printer.
Intro to Personal Devices - How to Print from Your Device at the Library is coming to the East Washington Branch on Wednesday, December 23, from 11 AM to 11:30 AM. It's a short, focused session on one of those small things that can be a real headache when you're in a rush: getting a document from your own screen onto a physical piece of paper without needing to plug anything in.
The whole point of the class is how to print from your mobile phone, tablet, or laptop at any IndyPL library printer. If you've ever stood in front of a library printer with a file on your phone and wondered how to actually get it to come out, this is exactly what they're covering. It's not about learning a whole new operating system; it's just the specific steps to send a file from your device to the printer.
Since it's a half-hour session, it's designed to be quick. You'll walk through the process of connecting your device to the library's system and sending your document through, so you can handle it yourself next time you're at any branch. It's the kind of thing that takes ten minutes to learn but saves you a lot of frustration later.
