Americana and folk singer-songwriter Evan Honer plays HI-FI Annex, the open-air venue in the back parking lot of The Murphy Arts Center downtown.
Evan Honer plays HI-FI Annex on Friday, October 30, with doors opening at 6 PM and the show starting at 7 PM. The night is presented by MOKB Presents at the Annex, an open-air, all-ages venue in the back parking lot of The Murphy Arts Center downtown.
Honer is an Americana and folk singer-songwriter who spent years in Southern California before moving to Nashville. His career took off when his cover of Tyler Childers' "Jersey Giant" became a viral hit, racking up more than 200 million streams and earning an RIAA gold certification. He released his debut album, West On I-10, on his graduation day, and followed it with Fighting For, which he recorded on the road during his first national tour.
His 2024 album, Everything I Wanted, marks a shift in sound. He cut the record over 18 days in a garage studio he built himself, and it pushes him past his acoustic roots into something more eclectic and electrifying, with string and horn arrangements. He's cited Andy Shauf, Medium Build, and Pinegrove as influences on the record. Across his work, he's reached more than 500 million streams, and he runs his own label, Cloverdale Records.
