Stand-up show by country-comedy comedian Dusty Slay, who grew up in a trailer park and became the youngest comedian to perform on the Grand Ole Opry.
Dusty Slay brings The Neighborhood Guy Tour to Clowes Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 13, 2027. It's a stand-up comedy show from a comic who builds his sets around the life he actually lived, rather than the one he's pretending to have.
Slay grew up on Lot 8 of a mobile home neighborhood in Opelika, Alabama, and he draws his comedy from that trailer-park upbringing and a long string of blue-collar jobs. He's worked as a dishwasher, a waiter, and spent eight years as a pesticide salesman. In 2001, he bought back his childhood trailer, and he discovered stand-up in 2008, winning the Charleston Comedy Competition and being named Charleston City Paper's Stand-Up Comedian of the Year two years in a row. He moved to Nashville in 2014 and became the youngest comedian at the time to perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
If you haven't caught him before, he's appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and in season 3 of Netflix's The Stand Ups. He's also released two Netflix specials: WORKIN' MAN in January 2024 and WET HEAT in the summer of 2025. The tour title, The Neighborhood Guy, points right back to where he started.
