Chase Petra, with Jer and Leisure Hour

Chase Petra play HI-FI on Friday, November 27, with Jer and Leisure Hour opening. The show is presented by MOKB Presents.

Chase Petra is a Long Beach trio that blends rock, emo, and pop. Their 2019 debut album, Liminal, put them on the underground map, and it's fronted by vocalist and guitarist Hunter Allen, drummer Evan Schaid, and bassist Brooke Dickson. The band describes their sound as being rooted in growth and self-discovery, with lyrics that center on growing up and what they call the "quarter-life-crisis pop" of modern life. Those existential questions carried over into their sophomore album, LULLABIES FOR DOGS, where they continued to work through the same themes.

On the bill with them are Jer and Leisure Hour, so there are three acts in the lineup. The whole night is presented by MOKB Presents.

HI-FI is inside the historic Murphy Arts Center at 1043 Virginia Ave #4, in Fountain Square. Doors open at 6 PM and the music starts at 7 PM.
